Yeast Infection Relief - Natural Ways To Treat Yeast Infections

A yeast infection can be quite disruptive and anyone who has ever had one is surely seeking a quick and effective yeast infection remedy.  A yeast infection is accompanied by itching, burning and sometimes even quite a bit of pain.  Below are a few of the yeast infection symptoms you should watch out so that you can catch it at the beginning and have a better chance of getting rid of it before it gets worse:

1. Severe itching is the most predominant sign of a yeast infection. This can be very severe and it can actually even disrupt your life because it is so unbearable.

2. If you suspect a vaginal yeast infection, you might also have burning when you urinate.

3. With any yeast infection, there will probably be some sort of discharge. This can be thick with a strong smell or white with no smell.

Luckily there are many treatments for yeast infection and you don't even have to visit your doctor to get them.  Here are some tips that might help you get rid of your yeast infection:

Yogurt is a great natural yeast infection remedy.  The yogurt coated tampon can be very effective in treating a vaginal yeast infection.  The good bacteria in the yogurt will then be transferred to the vagina and they can help fight the fungi which cause the infection.  While a bit messy, this can give you relief very quickly.

Apple cider vinegar is another treatment and you can use it in your bath or as a douche.  Apple cider vinegar fights the infection because it restores the acid alkaline balance creating a hospitable environment for the yeast infection.

Garlic has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties making it a great natural yeast infection remedy.  You can either apply it directly to the area or eat plenty of it in your diet every day so that your body will not create an environment that can easily host to yeast infections.

Just like anything else, drinking a lot of water helps you get rid of your yeast infection.  You probably are you know that a lot of water is good for your health.  How much should you drink? Eight glasses of more day is what is recommended.  Water will help to flush toxins out of your body making it unpleasant for the yeast to take hold.

Your clothing is an important contributor to yeast infections and you should make sure to always wear loose jeans and underwear.  Also, make sure you wear cotton underwear only as other types may help breed yeast infections.
